  • We never sell your information.
  • For sign-in we only keep your email address.
  • Your posts (jobs, rentals, etc.) are public; marriage profiles are visible only to signed-in members.
  • You can delete your posts any time, or ask us to delete your account data.

1. Who we are

Bengali360 (bengali360.com) is operated by the Bengali360 team ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use Bengali360 and how we use it.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: when you sign in we keep your email address (and a name and photo if you add them).
  • Content you post: jobs, rentals, marketplace items, business listings, offers, money-transfer rates, events, notices, help requests, community/marriage profiles, reviews, comments and photos or contact details you choose to include.
  • Messages and requests: what you send through the contact form or a "Trusted Services" request.
  • Safety information: reports you file and the users you block.
  • Technical data: basic, anonymous usage statistics (pages visited, device type) and error reports that help us fix problems. We do not use advertising trackers.

3. How we use it

To run the service (show your posts, let people contact you), keep it safe (review reports, remove fake or harmful posts, block abuse), answer your messages and requests, and improve the site. We do not sell or rent your personal information.

To see which parts of the site help people, we count visits, pages seen and button taps in total per day (for example "12 people opened the jobs page"), where a visit came from (such as Facebook or WhatsApp) and whether it was a phone or a computer. These counts use no cookies, no ad trackers and nothing that identifies you: no name, no IP address, no account.

4. What other people can see

Posts are public and may include the contact details you add, plus your display name. Community/marriage profiles are visible only to signed-in members and only adults (18+) may create them. Please don't post anything you don't want others to see, such as your home address, immigration documents or financial details.

4a. Match profile checks (phone and photo)

  • Phone check: we text a one-time code to the number you enter. We keep a scrambled version of the number (so one number can have only one profile) and its last 2 digits. We don't keep the number itself, never show it to anyone, and never use it for marketing.
  • Photo check: only if you agree on the screen first. We take a short video selfie, check that a real person is in front of the camera, and compare your face with your profile photos. This uses measurements of your face, which some laws call biometric data.
  • The video, the selfie and the face measurements are used only for this check and are deleted as soon as it finishes, normally within a minute. We keep only the result (checked or not), the date, and when you agreed. If you add a new photo that wasn't checked, the photo badge goes away.
  • We never sell, rent, trade or share this data, and we never use it to identify you anywhere else. Our service provider processes the check for us and doesn't keep it.
  • You can delete the results any time with "Remove my badges" on your Match profile. Deleting your Match profile deletes them too.
  • A check shows that a person is real and that the photos are theirs. We don't run criminal background checks.

4b. Job applications

When you apply for a job on Bengali360, your name, phone number, email (if you give it), note and CV go only to the person who posted that job, so they can contact you about it. Nobody else can see them. CV files are kept privately and deleted after 120 days, or sooner if the employer deletes the job post. Employers must use your details for that job only. Your details are also remembered on your own phone so the next application is quicker; you can clear them by clearing your browser data.

5. Service providers

We use trusted service providers for hosting, email, error reports and card payments. Card details go straight to our payment provider; we never see or store your card number. These providers use your data only to provide their service to us.

6. Keeping and deleting data

Your posts stay until you delete them or they are removed for breaking our Terms. You can edit or delete your own posts at any time. To delete your account data, contact us.

7. Children

Bengali360 is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Marriage profiles are for adults 18 and older only.

8. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above. Continuing to use Bengali360 means you accept the updated policy.

9. Contact
